There are several reasons why your teeth may appear more yellowed or stained. While visiting us for your regularly scheduled exam and teeth cleaning can help brighten things up, sometimes you need a boost from a whitening treatment.

Our Teeth Whitening Treatments
At Acacia Dental Centre, we use the ZOOM! Whitening System for in-office treatments. In-office treatments help you to see instant results, while at-home treatments can take a little longer to reach their full effect.
All teeth are different and can respond differently to whitening treatments. Professional teeth whitening kits from your dentist are stronger, helping you see results faster. Additionally, the professional advice of a dentist can help you understand the realistic expectations of whitening treatments and provide guidance for use and maintenance.
Fillings, crowns, and veneers can’t be whitened during this process, but they can be replaced to match the new shade of your teeth.
Our in-office whitening treatment involves applying the ZOOM! gel to your teeth, then placing a high-intensity light overhead to help remove discolouration and break up stains.
The treatment time may vary depending on the degree of staining of your teeth, but it usually takes around 2 hours. This comfortable and safe whitening solution can whiten your teeth up to 8 shades brighter after just one treatment.
Our take-home whitening kits usually require 2 visits. First, you’ll have a digital impression made to create custom-fitted, clear plastic trays. At the second appointment, you’ll try on the trays, and we’ll check to make sure it is a proper fit.
At home, you’ll use the trays to apply the whitening solution to your teeth for a prescribed amount of time each day for up to 2 weeks. Times will vary depending on the level of staining and discolouration you have.
We also provide universal take-home trays and bleach with every new patient exam and cleaning, so you can start whitening right away. If you prefer, a fully custom whitening kit can also be made for a more tailored fit and results.
